Assalamualaikum ( to all Muslims )
Hi all * waive *
Here in Malaysia it is already the last 10 days of Ramadhan which is the fasting season and as we today (20th July 2014 ) is like a week before Eid Aidulfitri and as I remember , last year 1 week before Eid I declared to everyone that I'm now wearing a hijab or head scarf as u all know it as.
So this day is the FIRST year anniversary of me holding on to my goal on wearing a Hijab. You know it feels so good and fulfilling. A few hours ago my heart was beating fast like the first day I decided on wanting to wear a Hijab,
The transformation that I've endure this past year ( according to the Islamic calender ) is magical as I could say it because the feeling of it, is indescribable, honestly. I didn't look back. I didn't regret my decision on wanting to wear a scarf and cover myself because it feels so so good knowing that i don't have to worry about tight clothes and how to style my hair. And now honestly I just feel like my self is for my future husband to see. That is how special Allah appreciate us women and guys as well. He saves the best things for the best people. It is kind of like a reward don't you think?
And this is sort of a ' Speech ' I posted on facebook an hour ago :
As my research for Islamic Studies widen so as my knowledge towards Islam itself. And as I read through the books about our beloved Prophet Muhammad ( Peace be Upon Him), I discover the true meanings on why we (women) have to cover ourselves from up to bottom, front to back.
For all this while everyone keeps on saying " You're not covering up yourselves that means your not Muslim." and etc. But can you in general tell me why did Allah SWT bestow upon us this message? A message on why do we have to cover ourselves up because no one told me on the specific reason.
I've read through a few books and I found the reason why we were asked to do so. The reason behind it was to up lift our ( women ) level within the community because back in the old days, no one appreciated us. They would kill us alive if they can and they would.
Thus, Allah SWT asked us to cover up so that guys wouldn't mistreat us. Let them appreciate our inner beauty rather than our looks and I agree with Aliaa that it also shows modesty within us.
So girls, let us slowly cover ourselves up and let the guys see the beauty within us and let them appreciate us for who we are as human beings. It might take time but never be afraid to try. Forget all the stupid comments that you'll receive. All the things that you've face is between you and Allah and not with them. Guys might judge but screw them, they don't know how we feel.
What do you guys think? Is it a bit to long ? Sorry. But that is just a conclusion on what I've learned after doing a research for my Islamic Studies assignment.
Am happy that I can wrote it down and remember this moment. I hope I'll stay like this until Jannah ( Insya'Allah ).
p/s: This is not a bias post. This is honestly a thing on what I've experienced. <3
